Meet Penelope Carlevato

My grandmother, Penelope also known as Tea Time Pen, is a speaker and author who shares the art of hospitality and afternoon tea that she learned at her mother’s side while growing up in England. My grandmother has been a big inspiration to me and I hope to further her love for tea through many generations.

I have loved working with my grandmother these past ten years. Not only do my grandmother and I love to work together but you can find us sipping afternoon tea or sharing our love for thrifting together. The author and illustrator duo currently have two published books. We are now currently working on our third book together here in Knoxville, TN.

First Class Etiquette covers table manners for home, dining out, and how to host a proper tea party, including table settings, invitations and etiquette. This charming book, illustrated by Carlevato’s granddaughter, offers popular recipes like orange scones, curried chicken tea sandwiches, and shortbread cookies.

The Tea Lovers Journal Writing journal entries and taking tea seem to go hand-in-hand. While encouraged by others in the past who took the time to record their thoughts, we can leave our legacy for future generations, or bring clarity and meaning to our lives.

My first book signing with Penelope at The Titanic Museum Attraction in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. We worked hard for this book to come out right after the 100th anniversary of the Titanic.
